Your visitors can now mark helpfulness of guided shows
DivShow is a never before experienced way of conducting a product or feature walkthroughs. During the launch we did a lot of A/B tests and found that visitors highly preferred a guided tour when being introduced to a new product offering.
The effectiveness of a show however can be a limiting factor. Just like there are good and bad copies, emails etc .. there are good and bad shows. A good guided tour gets to the value offering very quickly and can give a very pleasurable experience to its visitor. Good shows introducing features to a visitor predict the issues they may run into and provide quick solution near their context.
To quantify the effectiveness on a show, you’ll need to look at:
- Implicit signals: # show was viewed, # a unique visitors replayed shows, # visitors ignored playing the show and many such signals we cover on divshow’s analytics page
- Explicit signals: Explicit signals: We didn’t have a good solution here until now. Introducing our newest feature: Helpfulness rating on shows.
How it works:
When a new show is built and integrated on your website, your visitors can play the shows to start the guided walkthrough. Once this starts, we open up a banner at the bottom of your page with a short 1 click form. The banner is kept open for 5seconds after your show ended to give your visitor a chance to rate (upvote / downvote) the show just just viewed.
This interaction is recorded and reported back on DivShow’s detail page.
Here’s what the experience looks like:
Insights for business:
With these explicit signlas being captured directy from your users, you can take actionable follow up steps.
Some examples are:
- If you see high number of down votes, you need to split up the shows into smaller chunks or build better shows to guide your users
- If you see a high number of up votes, you can distribute that show within your team to promote better standards / quality of your shows.
More on this when we roll out our insights feature.
